Abstract :
One of the two hydro turbine-generator sets in small hydropower plant has become inoperable due to generator stator winding failure. Considering the age of the plant, together with generator repairs, more comprehensive plant refurbishment options have been analysed. The optimal solution is chosen, one that provides improved reliability, increased electricity production with best financial and economic indicators.
