Abstract :
The mixed reactant direct methanol fuel cell (MRFC) requires reaction selective electrocatalysts. We prepared the Co-C-N electrocatalyst by a reactive sputtering method and tested for the oxygen reduction and methanol oxidation reactions. The prepared Co-C-N electrocatalyst at 773 K had a high activity and selectivity for the oxygen reduction in the presence of methanol.
