Abstract
In this paper we use MSDM simulations to study the effects of axial and transverse anisotropy in the pole tip region. We show that the anisotropy in the pole region affects the rise time of the magnetic write flux in the data layer and the maximum write field magnitude. Furthermore, we calculate the field decay and pole tip remanence after the current in the coil has been turned off.
