Abstract
The moving magnet rotator has many applications and in these applications it has the following advantages: It can supply a large flux density of approximate shifting or rotating field for its size and weight. The very large equivalent magnetomotive force is not accompanied by ohmic loss which appears in the use of winding with current. It is unrelated to the poor power factor which often affects the use of ac winding because of the reaction of induced eddy current. However, the characteristics are not clear. In the paper, the authors show the characteristics obtained by both experimental and theoretical works.
