Abstract
With the fast development of wireless technologies, Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) are becoming an important networking infrastructure due to their low cost and increased high speed wireless Internet connectivity. In this paper, we propose and implement a system based on Hill Climbing algorithm, called WMN-HC for mesh router node placement in WMNs. We evaluate the performance of the proposed system by different scenarios using giant component and number of covered mesh clients metrics. We compare the performance of WMN-HC for 30 and 512 iteration per phases. The simulation results show that the system performs better for 512 iteration per phases.
