Abstract
Amplitude Modulation (AM) is a commonly used method in radio communication. Compared with analog AM, Digital AM (DAM) has the advantage of higher accuracy and better controllability. This article is dedicated to the analysis of the key issues in the implementation of DAM and its corresponding parameters based on the theories of amplitude modulation while carrying out simulations using Matlab, whereas the test results conform to the requirement of the design. At last, the article concludes with a DDS based DAM implementation based on the test results, which have proved the design to be correct that the waveforms are stable and have certain use value.
