  • Abstract
    Presents a pulse-coupled network (PCN) and considers its basic functions in terms of electronic circuits. The PCN consists of integrate-and-fire oscillators (IFO) coupled inhibitory to each other, and can accept an external input via excitatory coupling. When the input is given by mixing some independent pulse-trains, the PCN exhibits an interesting winner-take-all function and the original pulse-trains can be recovered. An efficient test circuit is implemented and the classification function can be verified in the laboratory
