  • Abstract
    Homogenization technique was proposed for the evaluation of the current density distribution in strip-wound amorphous cores. In this approach, the field in the non-homogenous structure is obtained as the superposition of the solution in the homogenized whole domain and of some correctors. The homogenized parameters and the corrector terms are derived from the solution of field problems in a single basic element with periodic boundary conditions. The results are compared with those provided by a standard finite element approach, applied to non-homogeneous domain.
