  • Abstract
    A prototype of the hydroelectric pumped storage power plant with 2.4 MW asynchronized generatormotor and frequency converter has been produced. The computer models of the system have been developed. The experimental study of high-frequency parameters of the generator-motor windings have been carried out. The assessment method of the machine additional energy losses caused by converter voltage distortions have been developed. The power loss comparison in the generator-motor caused by two-level, three-level and cascaded frequency converters has been done.
