Abstract :
In this paper a novel design of a two dimensional Photonic crystal structure (PCs) has been proposed for realization of optical OR and AND gates by introducing rods of Titanium dioxide (TiO2)forming a Y-defect in the structure. 1550 nanometer of signals are used in the input face so that the output signal is obtained at the opposite face of the structure. All the simulations are made by using Finite Difference Time Domain method.
