Abstract :
Soil moisture and ocean salinity can be remotely sensed using spaceborne radiometers operating at 21 cm wave length where a 27 MHz width frequency band is allocated to radioastronomy activities. This paper describes a new radiometer concept SFASIL (1), based on three satellites combining their individual sparse arrays capabilities in order to synthesise a much larger interferometric radiometer
