Abstract :
This paper describes a theoretical and experimental approach of the input impedance and of the current distribution along wire antennas lowered in a borehole. The transmitting frequency is on the order or greater than 100 MHz, such that resonant antennas can be used. Lastly, horizontally and vertically polarized antennas, working in a frequency range extending from 600 MHz to 1.2 GHz, are presented
