  • Abstract
    Renewable energy sources are being progressively more used for providing energy needs due to the growing concern of environmental pollution. Photovoltaic (PV) systems have a significant place within the renewable energy sources. Solar cells are the most important elements of photovoltaic systems. They determine the parameters to meet the power requested. For this reason, a simulation program is necessary to see the performance and behavior of the PV systems before the establishment in the different load and environment conditions. Therefore a program has been developed to simulate photovoltaic modules and components for PV systems. The program has been written in MATLAB®/Simulink® environment. In addition, the characteristic curves of photovoltaic module according to the values of the temperature and radiation are observed in MATLAB®/GUI interface.
