Abstract :
During the process of drying of insulating paper, several parameters, the temperature, pressure and the duration, are carefully controlled. The dried paper contains between 0.2 % and 0.3 % moisture. Actual measurement of moisture in OIP systems in power equipment in service is quite complex. It is therefore essential to estimation of moisture content based on Modelling techniques and subtle verification thereof based on laboratory controlled experimental studies. This paper presents a Multiple Regression Model for estimating the moisture content in paper. Carefully controlled experiments have been performed so as to be able to estimate the parameters of the Regression model as also validate the model based on the standardized errors of estimation.
