Abstract :
The transmission modeling of tiny LSI packages at GHz frequencies is difficult. Both analysis and measurements, including inductive and capacitive coupling of a high speed GHz-order circuit, are described in this paper. 4-port S-parameter measurements using a practical package have been successfully carried out. The GCRL parameters of a 4-port equivalent circuit model have been obtained by a frequency-dependent S-parameter fitting method.
