Abstract :
The four-leg inverter (4LI) which drives two induction motors have been studied, but the drives of two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) fed by a four-leg inverter have not been studied. PMSMs can drive not only speed control but also position control. This paper shows the characteristics of two PMSMs independent drives fed by a 4LI. First, this paper shows the method of 4LI to drive motor. The method of 4LI is expanded two-arm modulation and compensation of neutral voltage in two capacitors. Next, this paper shows the experimental results of speed and position control. Finally, this paper shows conclusions.
