Abstract
The surface of demagnetized LSMO thin films magnetized by a local stray field from a scanning magnetic tip at zero external magnetic field is presented. The surfaces and local magnetizations of the LSMO thin-films were observed by a scanning probe microscope at room temperature. The atomic force microscopy (AFM) and magnetic force microscopy (MFM) images of the LSMO thin-film surfaces were then obtained in the tapping mode. The surface magnetic ripples with varying magnetic periods that can be well Fourier transformed occur on the scanned areas. The effect of the local stray field from the scanning magnetic tip on the demagnetized LSMO thin film results in the occurrence of the surface magnetic ripples, which is strongly related to the magnetization reversal.
