Abstract :
Abstract- In this paper we present an algorithm to calculate actual capacity and a traffic model for mixed application users for WiMAX in download, and derive an algorithm to determine the maximum numbers of subscribers that each specific WiMAX sector may support. Numerical results and discussion highlight the effect of overheads over WiMAX system capacity; also we simulated the algorithm for different system parameter and traffic cases to ease the mobile WiMAX planning using MATLAB.
