Abstract :
In practical use, data traffic has a feature of high-burst in wireless network, which means that the serve request of a user is not continuous. With full buffer traffic model, network operators can give evaluations on the peak data rate and the least data rate of heavy load network. However, rather than the peak data rate and the least data rate, what attracts users most may sometimes be the typical data transmission rate in typical scenarios. On the other hand, in full buffer model, the sites in the network are always transmitting data, leading to a high interference level. This is not in line with reality that with a lower offered load, some sites may be in idle state and not transmit data and so the interference level is decreased. In this paper, a practical typical user data rate traffic model with low complexity is introduced. Different MIMO technologies and duplex modes are compared under this practical traffic model in theory. TD-LTE system is evaluated based on real user experience. It´s achieved by running an LTE system-level simulation under this practical model.
