  • Abstract
In recent years modern logistics has developed very rapidly after the logistic conception had appearing in china more than 20 years ago. This paper assesses the technology progress of the logistics in China on the base of DEA (data envelopment analysis) method. The principle of DEA method is illustrated, the feasibility and superiority of the DEA method when it is applied in evaluating the technology progress of logistics enterprise is studied and the technology progress rate of whole industry is analyzed. The logistics in China is still in the extensive development stage. The causation of the increase of freight-kilometer is not technology progress, but the increase of input that includes capital, conveyance, fixed assets and personnel. The representative enterprise´ data is from 2000 to 2006, and the DEA model is programmed using LINGO.
