Abstract :
The magneto-caloric effect in La0.7Sf0.3Mn0.8Ti0.2O3 has been investigated. We have found the magnetic entropy value is ∼0.74 J/kg K in an applied field of 4 T. The large magnetic entropy change produced by the abrupt reduction of magnetization is attributed to the strong coupling between spin and lattice in the magnetic ordering process.
