Abstract :
Introduces a kind of long-distance real-time data acquisition and control system which is based on a PCI bus. The front PC and data acquisition cards are controlled by a back PC which is located dozens of kilometers away, the two PCs are connected with a fibre optical link. The system uses several error-correction techniques to ensure communication reliability, such as hardware error detection, re-transmission comparison, simple error-correction encoding and decoding, thus the wrong transmission bit rate is greatly reduced and a high information transmission efficiency is achieved. The front PC is supplied by storage power, an effective power-saving method is also designed
