Abstract
The Maxwell-displacement-current (MDC) measuring technique has been applied to the investigation of azobenzene polyimide multilayer films under alternating photoirradiation with visible light and ultraviolet light. It was found that MDCs were generated, mainly due to the photoisomerization of the azobenzene multilayer films, and they were suppressed as a result of deposition of PAA films onto the azobenzene films
