Abstract
The paper introduces the method of automatic indexing for Chinese archives. The authors have made some researches on the algorithms of subject indexing and classification indexing. The weight function of indexing descriptors and the thesaurus of keywords-descriptors are organized in a logical way. The fuzzy relation is used in the classification indexing of archives
