  • Abstract
This paper retrieves the land surface temperature by using Mono-window Algorithm from 1989, 2001, 2007 Landsat TM remote sensing images in Harbin; analyzes the distribution of land surface temperature and the relationship between highway system temperature and urban heat island with the topographic map in 1990s. Some research as followed: the temperature of highway is lower than surrounding area significantly. As a special corridor system, highway can separate and slow down the urban heat island. The effect of the railway in Harbin is no more than 300m range; the maximum cooling effect of highways on urban heat island is no more than 0.4°C, this effect is little or disappear after 120m. The effect of highways on heat island is obviously distinct in different directions, and highways with different greening rate can also make different effect on urban heat island.
