Abstract
Developed a blend polymer of low density polyethylene and a polymer (UME) which contains a small amount of carbonyl groups aimed at having a high resistivity. In order to prevent the hetero space charge caused by crosslinking agent by-products, we developed a type of polymer (UCA). By introducing UCA in advance into low density polyethylene to be crosslinked, the crosslinking agent by-products floating in the bulk were reduced and thereby the characteristic of space charge accumulation was improved. This report describes the results of resistivities and space charge accumulation measurements in the blend of LDPE and UME, the blend of LDPE and UCA and the blend of LDPE, UME and UCA
