Abstract :
In this paper, author present the theory and methodology of sliding mode-variable structure control of the distributed vibration systems, including the control design at the modal state space and robustness conditions, a discussion on independent modal space control (IMSC) with sliding mode control strategy, etc. The methodology presented in the paper will open a new way for the active robust control of distributed vibration systems
