Abstract :
Signals and Systems Theory (SST) plays a fundamental role in the educational and professional background of electrical engineering as well as other scientific areas of knowledge. Although many authors present this theory following a scheme which is valid for the general analysis of linear non invariant systems, they avoid to deal with more general concepts and a wide range of problems. The purpose of our work is to develop a Generalized Signals and Systems Theory (GSST) which may be able to describe many different problems in a more rigorous way. A summary of the complete description of the current state of the GSST, including the concepts of Generalized Transform (GT), Generalized Transform Changes (GTC) and Generalized Spectral Analysis (GSA) of systems as well as further incorporations, such as RHS theory, is presented in this paper.
