Abstract :
Transient scattering properties of variety dipole antenna in time domain are analyzed using Finite-Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method and PML technology. L-shape, U-shape and Z-shape dipole antenna with open circuit and short circuit feeding are considered respectively. The monostatic scattering pulse waveforms and radiation energy patterns of the antennas are given, when Gaussian pulse is incident in vertical directions. Polarization direction of the incident Gaussian pulse parallels z-axis. Research results show that antenna variety shape has significant effect on the scattering properties of dipole. The results of this paper are valuable to the design of low scattering antennas.
