Abstract :
Now the mainly research on the protocol of mobile vehicle network is based on connected networks. But this method has its limitations. The majority nodes in this network have the constraint that they have sufficient density and moderate mobility. In fact, the nodes in highway environment have very high speed and the network topology changes very quickly. This makes the link between nodes instability and it is very difficult to ensure there is a stable transmission path between the two nodes. According to the feature of vehicle movement, this article proposes a hybrid DTN-DSR protocol to satisfy the particular request that applies DTN architecture to the highway environment. It considers the network as a structure of clusters. If there is an effective path from source to destination it uses DSR protocol. Otherwise, it will use asynchronous DTN protocol to take custodial transmission. At last, the QualNet simulator is used to evaluate the performance of the routing protocol proposed. The result shows that the hybrid DTN-DSR protocol has a better performance on package delivery ratio and average delivery delay than DSR protocol and EPI protocol.
