Abstract
In small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the e-mail has established itself as the central medium of communication and coordination. Therefore, the European Commius Project aims at enabling SMEs to collaborate easily on the level of system, semantic and process interoperability. Within these levels the Commius solution enriches incoming emails with additional information and recommendations for further proceedings by analyzing the content and already stored data. Furthermore, the provided services can be easily customized to special or individual requirements. Since this application will be tailored for SMEs, which are mostly facing limited resources, the project goal is to minimize startup and running costs.
