Abstract
Layout changes of airports yield often to a conflict with existing navigation and landing systems. In the treated case, a new rapid exit taxiway has been planned very close to a DVOR/DME navigation system. Effects on the guidance signal can be predicted only by adequate state of the art 3D simulation methodology which takes into account the planned geometry and the implications of the mutually coupled extended 3D-aircraft. Results are shown for medium sized B767 and large heavy aircraft A380.
