  • Abstract
    Abstract-This paper deals with an efficient and energy-saving channel assignment scheme which is applicable to the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). In actual application, there exist inevitably serious interference and conflict between nodes due to their large quantity and density in WSNs. Usually, the sensor nodes in WSNs rarely move and the their energy is also limited. So in this paper, we divide the network into grids and assign channels without complicated algorithm. Channels are assigned according to the geographical location of nodes. Then the scheme is simulated to analyze the network performance influenced by the grid size and, at the same time, reasonable dividing size is proposed to improve the network performance.
