Abstract :
In this work we present a transmitter module design of 2×2 MIMO-OFDM (multiple input multiple output - orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system for wireless backhaul application. The system provides better than 10-7 of BER (bit error rate) at 8Mbps full duplex single link rate for the intended wireless distance. The transmitter operates in dual conversion architecture to translate a 10MHz centered 16QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) modulated OFDM signal to a carrier frequency. The power amplifier (PA) input back off of 10dB gives acceptable %EVM (error vector magnitude) for the OFDM modulated RF (radio frequency) signal.
