Abstract :
This paper discusses scheduling problems in a semiconductor device manufacturing fab and presents an information system architecture and a decision support tool which allows admissible scheduling solutions in this particular manufacturing unit. The authors believe that this approach can be adapted to solve decision making problems in a complex manufacturing environment
