Abstract
We consider the electric power distribution systems and study the transformer station (TS) control which is a key part to ensure quality and continuity of service to customers. Faults which appear on the electric lines must be controlled and for this purpose the mechanism called logical selectivity has been defined. The system implementing this mechanism is a distributed real time system based on FIP fieldbus. We model this system by using stochastic timed Petri nets and we verify in particular, the influence of the message broadcasting period on the correctness of the logical selectivity mechanism
