Abstract :
In this paper, the influence to the transmission characteristics of the magnetic powder size in the lossy composite substrate of ultra wide-band pass filter (UWBPF). Results show that the diameter of the metal magnetic particle contained in the magnetic lossy substrate of BPF has contributed to the low-pass filter characteristics. By making the diameter of a particle small, the roll-off frequency of BPF shifted to high frequencies side. Also, the S21 level in both the lower frequency range of 3.1 GHz or less and the higher frequency range of 10.6 GHz or more is found to be less than -20 dB for the BPFs.
