Abstract :
Studies the mechanism of balancing a triple inverted pendulum and presents two fuzzy cascade control schemes to solve the curse of dimensionality in fuzzy multi-variable control. The first fuzzy cascade control scheme sets the cart position in the inner loop, while the second scheme sets the cart position in the outer loop. The two schemes can balance the triple inverted pendulum very well in simulation, and their strong and weak points are also compared
