Abstract :
Fuzzy input-output systems based upon similarity measures are proposed. It is shown that the proposed fuzzy systems can approximate, to any degree of accuracy, a continuous fuzzy function. Approximation mechanisms of fuzzy systems based upon the distances of fuzzy sets are explicitly exploited
