Abstract
Interleaving, an important technique in digital wireless communications systems, is commonly used to improve robustness against burst errors because it provides a form of time diversity. The unitive mathematical model of the convolutional interleaver was presented for the first time and the blind estimation of convolutional interleaving parameters has been investigated using the linearity of the linear block code based on Gauss-Jordan elimination algorithm in this paper. It is easy to find out the parameters of convolutional interleaver when the proposed algorithm is extended to interleaved nonbinary codes sequence. The proposed algorithm uses only the intercepted interleaved stream to analyse a portion of the parity check linearity, and also requires less number of intercepted data bits and less calculated amount compared to previous approaches.
