Abstract :
A general system structure for hybrid system modeling is proposed along with their formulations. An extended colored Petri net (ECPN) is proposed to implement the hybrid system modeling, its key ideas are dynamic colors, dynamic transitions and dynamic places, which make ECPNs capable of modelling both variables governed by continuous dynamic and the ordinary Petri net tokens for discrete events. Finally, an example shows how to use ECPNs for hybrid system modeling
