Abstract
Visual hallucinations have been described several times, but the causes that produces hallucinations are unknown. These kinds of studies are important because these phenomena do not appears only in people affected by mental illnesses; in the last years hallucinations have been reported by astronauts in several space missions. The generation of such phenomena can be dealt with by studying the dynamics of interacting neural circuits. This paper takes into account two third-order neuron models with the aim to understand how several parts of the visual cortex can interact with each other and show a dynamical behavior.
