  • Abstract
Chaotic signal can be widely used either in Spread Spectrum Communication system or in the secure communication system, which could provide necessary protection for the information. A new chaotic system design method was introduced to generate a chaotic signal which has a limited bandwidth in which the spectral components have large power. This new system is constructed by adding a second-order feedback to the classical chaotic system, so that the trapping regions are moved near others in the three dimensions space to make the shape of the trajectory like a torch. Because of the second-order feedback, the dynamic behavior is more intricate than the original chaotic system, and the large power spectrum components of the chaotic signal are limited in a special band, and have a sharp decline in the Transition zone. The efficiency of the method was shown by analysis and simulation. The new signal was suitable for traditional communication systems to transmit information in limited band channels.
