Abstract
By analysing the dynamic model of a wheel under braking, and based on the neuron model and neuron control method given by Wang Ning et al. (1991), a new neuron model-free controller with self-tuning gain for the anti-lock braking system (ABS) is proposed in this paper. Simulation tests of the ABS using the neuron controller were made. It is shown that good performances of the anti-lock braking system were obtained under various conditions of road surfaces. This new control method is very simple and suitable for practical use
