  • Abstract
    A protocol called SSPSF is designed based on shadow fading environment in Wireless Sensor Network. The aim of SSPSF is to reduce the number of working nodes and to balance nodes´ energy consumption when network´s connectivity is guaranteed, and then to prolong network´s life. In SSPSF, wireless channel uses shadow fading model, and a relational model about node-density and connected probability is constructed. SSPSF adjusts network´s connected probability by node-density so that implements distributed sleep scheduling, resolving the sleep node-scheduling problem in shadow fading environment. The proposed protocol exhibits the effect of correctness and effectiveness. Simulation shows that SSPSF can reduce the number of working nodes effectively, while both can guarantee the connectivity of network and prolong network lifetime.
