Abstract :
The color management system has formulated the color management standard (ICC)to reduce the chromatic aberration arising from various equipments and systems. There are several methods to assess the quality of the monitor. In this paper, the author uses the contrast matrix model, the multinomial fitting, the three dimensional look-up-table and the neural network method separately to choose one method which has the best Accuracy. Two common CRT monitors were chosen, and the contrast matrix model, the multinomial fitting, the three dimensional look-up-table and the neural network methods were used in this experiments. Results and Discussion: It can be concluded that the tone/matrix model is the traditional method, the bound of chromatic aberration was placed in the middle, the polynomial regression had a low accuracy, the three dimensional look-up-table and the artificial neural network procedures could be used to characterize commonly used color CRT, and the artificial neural network procedures had better accuracy.
