Abstract :
In this paper we study the characterization of beef tallow; the production of biodiesel and biodiesel blends diesel. Beef tallow is characterized in terms of calorific value, moisture content, impurities, density, cloud point, pH and acid value. In the production of biodiesel is working the variables reaction temperature, reaction time and molar ratio alcohol, fat, being obtained as an optimum reaction temperature of 70 °C, reaction time of 3 hours and molar ratio of fatty alcohol, 09:01. Biodiesel blends are made from tallow and palm diesel and they test a power plant marks lister and evaluated as effective parameter, specific fuel consumption and environmental parameters in the opacity, the concentrations of CO2, SO2 and NO.
