Abstract
Sensor networks for home sensing services can be configured in various complicate forms including conventional wired sensor devices as well as ZigBee devices. Consequently, sensor network middleware is positively necessary to support interoperability with heterogeneous types of sensor networks, and it also has to accommodate aggregate valuable information from sensor stream data. The sensor network middleware is connected to home network for supporting an intelligent home sensing and device control services. Consequently, the sensor network middleware has to guarantee interoperability with a home network middleware in order to support seamless service connectivity. This paper proposes a home sensing service platform architecture which can collect and aggregate various sensing values from various sensing devices in home. It can manage heterogeneous sensor network and provide interoperability with UPnP middleware as device service functionalities.
