Abstract
Summary form only given. In recently published work our group has proposed a setup based on a diode-pumped double clad Nd:glass fiber laser for laser Doppler anemometry (LDA), which is very powerful as well as very compact. In the present contribution, we combine this system with a new simple method for directional discrimination that has several advantages in terms of simplicity, alignment, cost, and compactness compared with conventional systems employing Bragg cells.
