Abstract :
This paper analyzes the function and requirement of wireless sensor networks (WSN) node power supply, and discusses the characteristics of power regulator usually used at present. The impaction of node power supply on energy conservation is insisted. Scheme to improve power supply efficiency of node is presented on the precondition of guaranteeing performance, which includes maintaining the high efficiency of power regulator, making use of battery energy and power dynamic management etc. The design applying some of the scheme to power saving of the node in the same configuration as node MICA2 shows that the scheme is effective in improving power efficiency and performance of node.
